Salary guide: $68,000 plus statutory superannuation

The Australian Society of Authors (ASA) is the peak national body for Australian writers and illustrators. About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised, and customer-centric person to join our team as a Membership Officer. In this role you will be responsible for assisting the ASA to recruit and retain members by delivering exceptional service and member experiences. You will be the first point of contact for our members and will provide support on every stage of the membership lifecycle.

Key duties for this member-facing role include:

  • Managing all member enquiries, including over the phone and via email, using our CRM
  • Completing all administrative tasks related to membership
  • Coordinating the membership renewal process
  • Delivering member satisfaction through direct communications with members
  • Building a knowledge of our membership to feed through to the ASA team
  • Creating monthly reports on membership

 

The Membership Officer works closely with the whole ASA team and reports to the CEO.

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience in administrative and/or customer service roles
