The Style File offering looks a little different this year, with a unique opportunity for our illustrators to pitch their portfolios and new promotional plans for the ASA Style File.
For over 20 years, the ASA Style File – a curated portfolio website – has become a respected source of high quality illustrators for the publishing community, launching the careers of many well-known Australian illustrators.
By joining the Style File this year, illustrators will not only gain an SEO-enhanced portfolio promoted to the book industry, but for the first time they will receive exclusive access to our brand new Virtual Literary Speed Dating event, Picture Book Matchmaker. This event offers the opportunity for illustrators to pitch their portfolios and illustration projects directly to publishers and agents, and forge vital professional connections in the industry.
The ASA is also developing new approaches to promote the Style File website to boost illustration work opportunities for Style Filers. Most significantly, in 2025 we will be launching a quarterly newsletter, targeted at book industry and publishing professionals seeking and commissioning illustrators.
The ASA Style File is currently open for portfolio submissions until 21 April 2025.
