Social media and Patreon for illustrators

Social media opens up the world to illustrators, offering opportunities to sell their work directly to the public, be discovered and hired by publishers, agents, and authors, and become part of a global community of artists. Without it, illustrator Li Chen believes that she wouldn’t have had any of her success, including the publication of her Detective Beans graphic novel series for children.

From her savvy use of Patreon, which has funded her ongoing comic series via monthly donations from patrons, to being discovered by her book editor via her social media presence, Li has learned how to make the most out of social media.

Whether you’re just getting started in the industry or are an established artist ready to refresh your approach to social media, don’t miss this session with Li Chen, who will share:

Established artists will gain insight into how they can successfully approach their own social media presence, while emerging illustrators will benefit from the tips and tricks Li wishes someone told her when she was getting started!

There will be time for questions.

Can't make it to the live session?

No problem! Everyone booked in to this event will be emailed a link and passcode to access the recording afterwards. This recording will be available to view for 10 days after the live session. This also means that if you wish to revisit the session after attending it live to take further notes, you can do so!

After 10 days, the link will expire and the recording will no longer be available to view.
